Embedded in the shirt are sensors that feel the strength of your touch, the warmth of your skin, and your heartbeat - and actuators that recreate the sensation of the touch, warmth, and emotion of the hug to the shirt of the distant loved one. The Hug Shirt is a Bluetooth accessory for Java enabled mobile phones. All the data goes from the sensors in the Hug Shirt you're wearing via Bluetooth to your mobile phone - which delivers the hug data to your friend’s phone - which seamlessly transmits, again via Bluetooth, to his or her Hug Shirt - delivering your hug to your loved one!
