I'm considering getting a bike to ride to work (1.3 miles), but Cathie's convinced that one of the 637 potholes between here and the school will up-end me.
It has been more than twenty years since I have ridden a bike. Jim bought me one this week, thinking we could spend some quality time riding the back roads of Moroni. I spent some quality time with the black top as I tried to get on the bike and promptly fell over. I am now sporting a nicely scrapped elbow. The saying that "you never forget how to ride a bike once you've learned" may be true. But I can attest to the fact that you can forget how to get on and off the thing. Jim also purchased a new bike for himself and a bike rack to take the bikes wherever we may wander. We took them on the family camp-out this week. I thoroughly enjoyed watching others much younger and more coordinated ride my new bike. It was a much safer vantage point for me!
Larry, I just bought a bike to ride the 1.7 miles to work. I figure it will save me nearly $700 a year to ride the thing (with an additional detour or two back and forth to work for post office and such).
Brett and I have decided to ride in style with a horse and buggy. I'm not going to lie and say it won't annoy people on the freeway, but it will save us gas money...totally worth it

I didn't get it at first, but then I relized that he took the gas prices down to make a bike. That is hilarious!
I just paid $77.70 to fill up my van today. I wish I had a bike and that it had five extra seats on the back.

$700 is a lot of A&W Rootbeer.

Hmmm...$700...I plan to retire in 5 years so that's $3500...that's a year's supply of A&W.
