Independence Day Celebrations
Dave, Erin, & Luke came by for some BBQ turkey (a tradition here), fresh cantalope and watermelon, rolls with butter, three-layer jello, and fresh-berry-and-(real)-whipped-cream-and puff-pastry dessert (the last two being Erin's yummy red, white, and blue creations). While here we watched the Moroni parade which had a float celebrating Morris Cook's family of 8 children, 41 grandchildren, and 100 great-grandchildren (check out this news story complete with video).
After they left we started round two when Eric & Kacie got off work and we did it all over again. We then watched The Amazing Firworks Show that Moroni puts on every year - after which we lit two crackling balls, four fountains, and threw forty snaps. Fun times.
