Your host laying tile in the kitchen.

The hallway. Word to the wise: cleanup all the mortar as you go. It wipes up pretty easy while still the consistency of peanut butter. Not so easily when dried as hard as cement.

Laying the last tile as we work our way out the back door.

72 hours later (the time needed for the mortar to dry enough to walk on)...
This is grout, mixed to the consistency of peanut butter, ready to press into the spaces between tiles.

Rounded sponge and clean water for cleaning up grout residue.
