"Canola Butter"
OK, boys and girls, when we were in AZ visiting
John McCain Joe & Brandi and family, Brandi asked me if my "Canola Butter" is cheaper than margarine. I said I didn't know - but I just now finished crunching the numbers. Here are the results.
If a 48 oz bottle of canola oil costs $2.80, and if a pound of real butter (on sale) costs $2.00, then after whipping the two ingredients until "white" you would have used 8 oz of canola oil (@ 6 cents per oz) and 8 oz of butter (@ 12.5 cents per oz) to make 24 oz of "Canola Butter." 3 cups of final product for $1.48!
(That's correct, 16 oz of ingredients whip up to make 24 oz.)
It will spread just like margarine, taste just like butter, and give you the health benefits of canola oil. Woohoo!
